Broken Altars: A Prophetic Warning
On 29 October 2025, I had a powerful dream where there were three of us driving on a highway I know well called Highway 20.
In the dream the highway was now lined with large houses where the properties were not abandoned but were in disrepair with paint peeling off and the facades poorly maintained — they were run down structures.
On one house I saw a cross and on another there were murals of Jesus, both were faded and neglected. They once carried covenant identity and bore visible markers of Christ, but through complacency and mixture these markings were no longer prominent. I knew by revelation that these houses represented both the generations and the nations.
As we continued, we were met by an estate agent who was taking us down some stairs to look at these large houses that would need to be rebuilt and restored. This estate agent had just finished eating at a table when he shook each of our hands — particularly when he shook the hand of the Apostolic man I was with — I knew in my spirit that something was "off". His hand felt clammy and unclean and he was uncomfortable that his hands were not clean, and they were unpleasant to shake.
I then woke up to get ready for the early morning prayer on a Zoom "War Room". End of dream.
This dream is a clear symbolic warning concerning the broken down altars of the nations and the generations.
These large houses represent covenant structures — both national and generational. The visible deterioration reflects spiritual decline over time. The faded cross and murals point to Nations that once carried the mark of Christ but have neglected their covenant foundation. What was established in covenant has faded through neglect and mixture. God is a covenant-keeping God but covenant requires maintenance. Spiritual deterioration comes through tolerated compromise, (cover up culture), fabricated identities and familiarity with sacred symbols without the fear of God, and repentance reduced to a performative ritual. This is not simply cultural decline but the neglect of our generational altars.
You can be doing great things, but when a veil of deception comes over your eyes, coupled with the religious spirit marked by pride and rebellion, the Holy Spirit can cease striving with you and God gives you over to deception.
"Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness". 2 Thess. 2: 11-12
This passage describes divine judgement on those who wilfully reject the truth and embrace evil.
Romans 1:28 deals with judicial abandonment:
"And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a debased mind (or reprobate mind) to do what ought not to be done."
When people trade Gods truth for a lie, He eventually steps back, removing spiritual restraint and letting them experience the full consequences of their corrupt, dark thinking.
We see this again in Psalm 81:11-12:
"But my people would not listen to me... So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts and to follow their own devices".
Prophetically, "Highway 20" aligns to Isaiah 20 where the prophet walked barefoot for three years as a sign of exposure and humiliation before the Nations, being stripped and barefoot. It also connects to Isaiah 35:8, “A Highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Highway of Holiness;” I believe this points to a three-year prophetic timeline that has already started impacting both the Church and the nations and speaks to a season of inspection, purification, and separation.
"Going down the stairs," represents examining foundations. Before the altars are rebuilt publicly, foundations must be inspected privately — first in our own lives and in our generations and then in our nations. What has been built with mixture will not withstand this season of refining and fire.
"The estate agent," represents a counterfeit custodian over inheritance. There is currently a battle over inheritance in the spirit. The counterfeit becomes uncomfortable when confronted with authentic apostolic authority, exposing the cracked, corrupt, poorly maintained foundations. What is false and fabricated cannot remain in the presence of genuine covenantal alignment. God is exposing the mixture and separating out the authentic — what is real from what is false. The fire of God does not fall on defiled altars, but on restored lives.
A Word for the Church and the Nations
Judgment begins in the House of God. The Church is under scrutiny and we are already in a prophetic three year timeline which will involve inspection of both roots and fruits.
The Nations are on the threshing floor and God is bringing divine distinction between what belongs to Him and what does not.
When God moves in the macro, He is also addressing the micro.
This is a call to examine your own house. Examine your generational altar. Where has spiritual deterioration and corruption been tolerated? Where has mixture been excused through deception and the religious spirit? Where has covenant been assumed but not maintained?
God is rebuilding tables of reconciliation. A table of reconciliation is where the books of remembrance are opened and where He is taking inventory and reconciling injustice. He is setting up a table of feasting in the presence of our enemies where the enemy will be forced to watch us prosper. Justice is made powerful, because God comes to reconcile on our behalf.
Psalm 23:5 states: "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over."
He is restoring covenant understanding and He is calling His Church back to holiness and back to Kingdom alignment. We are in a very sobering season. The counterfeit can manage appearance, but it cannot carry the weight of His Glory. The rebuilding of the altars /generations has a knock on affect to the nations, calling us back to a living and active understanding and in Covenant with Him. God vindicates His family and brings justice to every place the enemy has stolen from.
Prayer
Father God, forgive us where we have allowed spiritual deterioration and mixture into our generations and nations which has opened the door to deception and strongholds.
Forgive us for allowing broken altars to remain neglected and in disrepair, completely blinding us to the state of the generations. Expose the mixture and cleanse the foundations; restore our understanding of covenant in You. Father, help us rebuild and restore the ruins of our generations and in the nations. Your word says,
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will forgive their sin and will heal their land". 2 Chron 7:14
God heal our land.
In Jesus’ Name.
Amen.
Thank you Yahweh God for this season of threshing + refinement, down to the “foundation”. For sifting roots & fruits, as Donna writes. And Lord, we pray for strength to endure the FULL process you have us each on individually — not cutting short, but seeing + enduring our own “race” to the finish line in this season, drawing on your strength, your newness to fuel us in a time that is make or break for the glorious future you’ve prepared 🕊️‼️
