A Clarion Call to Awaken the Church

On 07 February 2026, I was given a dream that speaks clearly to the current condition of the Church and the level of warfare we are presently in.

I saw a spider with a large, swollen belly—pregnant. An apostolic man I know was attempting to kill it. The resistance was strong and the battle required effort, but eventually the spider’s body was torn apart.

I believe this spider represents a mature and multiplying spirit of deception and witchcraft operating within the Church. The enlarged belly speaks to reproduction—this means that deception is not only increasing in measure, it is growing in maturity. It has been tolerated, justified, and allowed to multiply. The resistance in the dream reveals the cost of confrontation and this dismantling does not happen passively, it requires active focus and action.

Later, I was taken to a different location. People were seated in pews and one couple in particular were completely covered in spiders. I believed they were dead—until the man opened his eyes. When he did, the spiders covering him dried up like dead leaves.

This couple represents the Church seated in Christ, yet in this context their posture speaks not of authority, but of apathy, complacency, and familiarity. Though alive, they appeared dead and their power had been stripped. They were spiritually impotent—lulled into sleep by deception. The spiders had inhabited the building where God’s presence is meant to dwell.

Much like Samson in the Book of Judges, the Church has been lulled to sleep—unaware that their strength has quietly been stripped away while complacency was embraced.

This is a major issue today - the Church has become a habitation for deception and a fertile breeding ground for a spirit that veils eyes and produces spiritual blindness. Deception does not always kill outright—it numbs, dulls, and renders ineffective.

Yet God always makes room for redemption.  When the man’s eyes opened, the spiders lost their power. This points to a coming spiritual awakening—a window of mercy where sight will be restored and the Church will be called back to her first love. Restoration will come through apostolic and prophetic alignment, and truth will confront what has been hidden.

It is time to break the power of deception in the Church, confront witchcraft that has been tolerated, and speak truth that opens blind eyes.

Prayer

Father God, expose what has been hidden, tolerated, and justified—what flatters the flesh and produces a counterfeit gospel. We renounce the spirit of deception and all its trappings. Purify Your Church from pride, lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh, secret knowledge, and false identity. Strip out the complacent, fruitless gospel and awaken the Church to the true power of Your Kingdom.
